What we collect

SymptomSense stores the information you choose to log: symptom check-ins, vital readings (such as blood pressure and glucose), medications, cycle and pregnancy tracking, photos you upload, weekly questionnaire answers, and your account email and profile settings (name, city for weather context, reminder times).

Why we collect it

Only to run the service for you: finding patterns in your own logs, generating your doctor report, and sending the reminders you turn on. We do not show ads, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Explicit consent for health data

Health information is sensitive data under GDPR (Article 9), PIPEDA, and similar laws. We process it only with your explicit consent, which you give with the checkbox at signup. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored with Supabase (our database provider) and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted so each account can only ever read its own records.

Cookies

We use essential cookies/local storage strictly to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Optional analytics run only if you choose "Accept All" on the cookie banner; choosing "Accept Essential Only" keeps everything limited to sign-in and preferences.

Your rights

At any time, from Settings inside the app you can:

• Export — download a complete copy of your data as a JSON file (data portability).
• Delete — permanently erase your account and every record, photo, and report. This is immediate and cannot be undone.

You may also contact us to access, correct, or erase your data, or to complain to your local data protection authority.

Not medical advice

SymptomSense finds patterns in what you log. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose. Always discuss findings with a clinician.
